The 17th edition of the Tre Torri International Judo Summer Camp has just ended — and what a truly special edition it was, thanks to the exceptional presence of renowned Masters who led the training.
Once again, Master Hatsuyuki Hamada (8th Dan) offered detailed and structured sessions, confirming his role as a cornerstone of our camp. But it was the extraordinary participation of World Champion Yasuyuki Muneta (7th Dan) that made this edition truly unforgettable.
Master Muneta fascinated everyone with his powerful, foundational Judo. He worked on the basics (Kyhon), starting with stance (Shizentai), movement (Ayumi Ashi – Tsugi Ashi – Tai Sabaki), and the sequence of “Kuzushi, Tsukuri, Kake” leading to full technical control (Zanshin). His teaching combined clarity, effectiveness, and true spirit — inspiring all.
A key addition this year was Dr. Ippei Kaneko (3rd Dan) from Matsuyama, a former student of M° Hamada. He deepened the understanding of groundwork (Ne Waza) with Kosen Judo techniques, focusing on lower-body movement, transitions (Ushiro ebi, Mae ebi, Yoko ebi), and partner drills. His demonstrations on immobilizations (Yoko Shiho Gatame), escapes (Nogare kata), and strangles (Okuri eri jime) were precise and rich with detail.

The camp also welcomed Saki Yanagiha, a Japanese judoka and former student of M° Hamada, who recently earned a silver medal with Cambodia at the Southeast Asian Championships. Her brilliant Morote Seoi Nage and contagious smile inspired many, especially the female participants.
As always, the event was flawlessly organized by ASD Dojo Kenshiro Abbe – Gruppo Marche, under the guidance of M° Corrado Croceri, whose leadership continues to be a beacon of experience and passion.
More than one hundred participants joined us from Italy and abroad: Ireland, England, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Croatia, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Malta… and even a large group from Mexico — an incredible surprise!
The camp continues to grow, both in quality and in reach. The Judo principle “Jita Yuwa Kyoei” – mutual welfare and benefit – was truly lived out. The Tre Torri is now a true international brand for those who live and love Judo deeply.
