Corridonia, March 18th, 2026. – Judo is a discipline founded on values of mutual welfare and respect. For nearly twenty years, the Tre Torri Judo Summer Camp has embodied these principles, creating a technical and human bridge between athletes of every nation.
It is with deep regret that we announce the Judo Summer Camp 2026 is officially cancelled.
On September 3rd, 2025, driven by the passion that has always guided us, we proudly announced the dates for the 2026 edition in Porto Sant’Elpidio. At that time, in confirming the event, we could not have foreseen how much the new 2026/2028 Training Camp Regulations issued by FIJLKAM would weigh on the sustainability and ethics of our initiative.
The new Italian federal regulation now requires organizing clubs to pay a FEE (tax) for the authorization of training camps. For our Association, accepting this imposition is not just a financial issue, but a conflict of values. Sensei Corrado Croceri has been categorical: those who promote high-level Judo should be supported, not taxed. Accepting this burden would inevitably mean passing the costs on to the participants’ fees. We do not intend to turn a moment of technical growth and friendship into a financial burden for athletes and their families due to a FIJLKAM decision that we do not believe reflects the prestige of our movement. We invite all practitioners, teachers, and leaders to reflect on how this regulation ultimately damages the freedom to promote Judo.
We sincerely thank all those who over the years have made Sarnano first and Porto Sant’Elpidio later, a global landmark for Judo. This pause is an act of defense for our discipline. We remain united in the hope that the right conditions can soon be recreated to return and share this extraordinary experience on the tatami together once again.
